Acupuncture
There are 3 styles of acupuncture that I use in my practice, used individually or in combination as needed for desired results.
Chinese: a special combination of points is selected based on the chief complaint with insertions ranging from shallow to deep. There can be deep sensation experienced at certain points since this style incorporates specific needle manipulation techniques for desired results.
Japanese: this acupuncture differs from the Chinese style by using smaller finer needles, gentle insertion techniques, shallower insertion and fewer needles overall.
Orthopedic: this style is more technical with needling directly into joints, facets, knotted muscles and congested fascial tissues for therapeutic results. This style allows bound tissue to release and increases local blood circulation to promote healing.
Electro-stimulation: an electric current runs between two needles connected to an electro-machine.
At Home Acupuncture: offered locally to the Sullivan's Gulch and Irvington neighborhood. Acupuncture treatment is administered either in a seated or supine position in the comfort of your home.
